Why am I so Obsessed with the show F.R.I.E.N.D.S?

Stuck in second gear? Love life’s D.O.A? You’re broke?

Lines seem familiar? Well, you guessed it right. You know what I know and I know that you know what I know. To those scratching your heads – here’s a hint – “Life’s indeed going to be this way, but guess who can make it easy? F.R.I.E.N.D.S.”

A lot of my friends and family have asked about my addiction to this show. This blog highlights all the right reasons to watch the show.

*Disclaimer: Spoilers ahead (It wouldn’t hurt though).

Ordinary is extraordinary

Unlike some shows/movies that force people to believe that you need to be heroic in life to be successful, that isn’t true in real life. Life is extraordinary when you are simple and satisfied at every stage of your life.

Re-start your life anytime, anywhere

Admit it, we all felt like exploring our passion after watching Rachel and her success. It’s true that you can re-start at any point in your life. You just need to be determined and true to yourselves.

Real in Reel

We all had that one situation where you needed to borrow money, turn to your friend for some mental support, experienced relationships/breakups, became vulnerable, etc. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. depicts such real-life situations, hence, you connect to the show.

Be open-minded

Be it the lesbian wedding, surrogacy, single mother, etc., life can be lovely when you are open-minded. The more you understand life, the more life becomes beautiful. Need a simple way to maintain relationships? Talk to the person. Share your thoughts and respect the other person’s perspective and life shall be just fine.

You can love your job

Okay, now how many hate your job like Chandler? Be honest, there are a lot of Chandlers around us but there are also a few Rosses as well who love their job. I am a Ross and I can’t get enough of writing. You can love your job and quit the ones you hate.

You decide your life’s progress

Want to marry at 25 and have kids by 30? Cool.

Not interested in marrying? Cool.

Not interested in Kids? Cool.

Change your career at 28? Cool.

Life moves at a pace you decide not society. Of course, it is easier said than done. This is exactly the reason to watch the show and understand decision-making skills.

Forgive and spread love

From Joey forgiving Chandler to Monica forgiving Phoebe, from the group accepting Rachel to Mondler adopting, life is all about spreading love and positive thoughts. Now more than ever, we need such atmosphere around us in order to grow mentally.

Done with the serious reasons, now for some fun ones:

  1. Killer one-liners and puns
  2. Smart and light-hearted plot lines
  3. Cute and unique characters
  4. Healthy sarcasms
  5. Embarrassing situations that turn into hilarious ones

Well, this list can continue in the comments. While there are several other instances in the show that haven’t ended well, but most part of the series influenced me in the right way and I would like to spread that positivity. Go watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S and let me know if you agree with this or not.
