It all started there! Yes, that’s the place! The place where you were born. The place where you cry while your mom has a wide smile. The place where your dad welcomes you to this world with his warm hug.
It’s an amusing thing that we remember nothing about our own childhood days.
Those days when our mom held us in her arms. Those days when we cried to get that bottle of milk. Those days when we crawled in the whole house. Those days when we ate mud and slate pencils. The day when we first spoke first word. Nothing, we don’t remember nothing.
But now we realize that, they were the best moments of our life. Because, until then the rollercoaster was going smooth. Then life happened. The day came when we cried holding mom’s hand and another lady tried to take us to the world of knowledge. (They say that to The School, right?)
Irrespective of our interests, we were forced to study all the subjects. But to compensate that struggle, we all had our own hobbies. Some of us were good dancers, good singers, good sportsperson, etc.
When we entered high school, our parents started their epic dialogue “Kid, Pass 10th standard, your life will be settled”. Somehow clearing it, we entered the college. Imagine how you expected things to be- Cool outfits, bunking classes and going to movies, planning trips, spending money lavishly, etc. How did it end?
Same old boring outfits (some colleges even had uniforms), dad taking lecture on bunking one class, never-ending notes and assessments, finding ways to ask dad to increase the pocket money.
And not to forget the epic dialogue of parents, “These 2 years are very important kid, pass this and your life will be settled!!”
Then comes that 4 years of life, those years which you are still figuring out as to what actually you did. I have to say that these 4 years are the strongest memory of my life. We have had an immense amount of emotions in this period of time. And yet again, parents say their epic dialogue, but later we realise that the actual challenges of life will start after our education.
Is this Life?
Well, I believe this is a phase of life. A phase where you grow towards being a matured and independent person. There might be times, when you meet new people, build a bond with them, share your thoughts and experiences with them, become the best buddies forever and then comes a day, when all of a sudden, everything is drifted apart.
This is the learning phase. A phase that never has an end. A phase that teaches us in each step we move, each decision we take. Remember the time, you had 6-7 lunch boxes and all done within say 10 minutes. And then, you will reach a stage where you’ll have 1 lunch box which takes almost an hour to finish! Seems little hard to digest right?
Well that is life.
Life is all about adapting, Learning, and sustaining. It is all about those mixed emotions which make us better in comparison to our older version. We will enter a stage where we get married , have kids and focus on their future.
This right now feels terrifying, but at the end of the day, life is also being tough enough to stay strong and smile through the different phases. Scream loud, loud enough for the whole world – the one inside you to hear that, this Rollercoaster, you are enjoying it.
